Congratulations to all of the 2008 champions

With all of the points races all said and done. Ryan Dimick- took the Desert Thunder Raceway track championship in Price, Utah. Chase Hansen- took the Fairgrounds Speedway track championship in Cortez, Colorado and placing fourth in the IMCA Western Region. Hubert Wilson- went on to be the first IMCA Southern Sport Mod Utah State Champion and the track championship at the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah for the IMCA Southern Sport Mods. Hats off to Team Jet Lift Racing for their 2008 accomplishments. Now on to the Duel In The Desert in Las Vegas, Nevada.

9/26-27/08 – PRICE, UTAH

Third Annual Castle Country Clash

The third annual Castle Country Clash at the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah went to Price, Utah's and Team Jet Lift member Ryan Dimick. Ryan Dimick also went on to win the 2008 IMCA Desert Thunder Raceway track championship. Ryan placed in the second position on Friday and in the fourth place position on Saturday. To determine the overall winner, the track combines both nights races together. So, his second and fourth place finish were good enough to take the overall win. How did the rest of the team fair out?. Mickey Stubbings went on to win his heat race and had a strong run going until he was turned into the front stretch wall and climbing the wall and taking out about 3 sections of fencing. Mick was ok as his car looked totalled. Then Saturday came around with a big surprise when Mickey Stubbings pulled into the pits with his “TOTALLED” car back together ready to race once again. Mickey ended up with a twentieth combined. Mickey's best finish at the Clash came in 2006 when he finished in thirteenth. Mickey's night was not over as he had to gear up for the Third annual Old Timers Dash. Mick was spun by Chuck Buchanan on the first lap. “ I have to work with him on Monday ” Mickey commented after the race. It also took Mickey and his help from 6 in the morning until 4:30 to get his car raceable again. Chase Hansen wished that they did not race on Friday night as he was a victim on the first lap of the heat race, was spun in the B-Main and kept it going as he made the main, caught up in a pile up in the main, went off the track to get his bumper fixed, went out to get some laps and was caught up in another wreck. Saturday was a lot better as he started in the fourteenth position and finished in the seventh. Hansen has came close to winning the Clash in 2006 and 2007. After finishing fifth overall in the 2007 Castle Country Clash, Harvey Howard also had a tough weekend as he did not make the feature on Friday night. Howard went on to finish in the twentieth position on Saturday night. Howard did not make the top 24 in the combined. Hubert Wilson went on to clinch the first ever IMCA Southern Sport Mod track championship at the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah and the Utah state championship. Wilson won both nights in the Sport mod stable. Dustin Hansen did really well as he got to lead the pack for a few laps. Look out 2009. Dustin also finished in the fourth position in Price, Utah's track points. Team Jet Lift would also like to thank all of the fans, friends, family, and sponsors for a great 2008 season.
